The Frost frame 100 × 100 cm uses LEE 251 Quarter White Diffusion – light diffusion that, per LEE, transmits 80% of the light (⅓ EV loss). The sheet is stretched on the frame, so it can simply be clamped in front of the light.
Placing the frost in front of the light enlarges the source and softens shadows; the farther the frost is from the light, the softer and larger the light. The frame attaches to a grip head on a C-stand.

Why Frost Frame 1/4 100 × 100 cm – LEE 251 Quarter White Diffusion
- Defined diffusion – According to LEE, LEE 251 Quarter White Diffusion has a light loss of ⅓ EV.
- Softer shadows – A larger source gives a softer transition between light and shadow.
- Quick swap – Diffusion density is changed by swapping the frame, not the light.
- Standard LEE – LEE numbering makes communication with the crew easier.
