Solid Black 6 × 6′ (1.8 × 1.8 m) is designed for a butterfly frame on stands. Opaque black fabric absorbs light, so it is used to shade the scene or add contrast as negative fill.
Outdoors it casts shade over the talent; indoors it cuts unwanted reflections from walls and ceiling. The size suits medium close-ups and full shots of one or two people.
