The ARRI ARB-1 attaches to the Accessory Adapter of SMB and LMB matte boxes or to the Accessory Rail Small. It offers a 3/8″-16 mounting point with four holes for safety pins and a lever lock that turns 90°.
Used to attach articulated arms, distance meters (e.g. Cinetape) or small monitors close to the optical axis. Safety pins prevent accessories from rotating during a shot.
