CineTape from Cinematography Electronics continuously measures subject distance with an ultrasonic sensor and shows it on the Measure Control unit with a red LED display. Measurement resolution is 1 cm, power 9–32 V DC and the control unit weighs 195 g.
The sensor mounts on the camera; sensitivity is adjustable in the 0–99% range, with film-plane offset from -3 to 30 m. Via a 6-pin Lemo the measured distance can be sent to focus controllers, for example to ARRI UMC-4 with a CTM cable. Powered via Fischer 3-pin.
