Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/8 with 82 mm thread is a diffusion filter that reduces highlight brightness, slightly softens contrast, and smooths wrinkles and skin imperfections. Strength 1/8 is the lightest level in the range – the effect is subtle and nearly unnoticeable. The black particles keep shadows darker than with white Pro-Mist.
The threaded version screws directly onto the lens – ideal for gimbals, handheld rigs and documentary shooting without a matte box. For a smaller lens diameter use a step-down ring. The effect is most visible on practicals and backlight.
