NiSi Cine Nano IRND 1.8 is a solid neutral density filter with integrated IR protection and 6-stop light loss. Made from one piece of H-K9L glass, 4 mm thick, with double-sided nano coating.
Used to hold a chosen aperture and shallow depth of field in bright light. IR protection is especially important at higher densities, where without it a magenta cast in blacks and fabrics can occur.
