Schneider 85ND.6 combines an 85 conversion filter (orange, for tungsten-balanced recording in daylight) with 0.6 neutral density. The 4 × 4″ format is intended for smaller matte boxes.
One filter instead of two reduces the number of glass surfaces in the optical path. With digital cameras, color temperature is mostly handled by white balance, so the filter is used mainly for film or for a deliberate warm tone.

Why Schneider 85ND 0.6 4 × 4″
- Two filters in one – 85 conversion and ND 0.6 in one piece of glass.
- Fewer surfaces – Fewer glass elements in the path means fewer reflections.
- Edge Seal – Edge protection against chipping.
- 4 × 4″ format – For compact matte boxes.
