The ARRI Hi-5 is a three-axis wireless handheld controller that replaced the WCU-4 at the top of the ARRI ECS system. It offers a 3.0″ sunlight-readable transflective touchscreen, a focus wheel with a 16-bit encoder and interchangeable RF-EMIP, RF-2400 and RF-900 radio modules. Weight is 830 g.
The controller works directly with ALEXA 35, ALEXA Mini/Mini LF and AMIRA cameras, and with other cameras via cforce mini RF or RIA-1. LBP-3500 batteries can be swapped while the unit is running, without powering it off. Smart focus rings with a scale are recognized automatically, and lens files are managed via the ARRI ECS Sync app.
