Prism Lens FX Split Diopter FX is a half diopter with a 77 mm diameter and +4 diopter power. One half of the frame focuses on a close subject, the other stays at the lens’s set distance.
The filter is held by hand in front of the lens or mounted in a FREEFORM adapter with a 1/4″-20 thread on a handle or arm. The manufacturer recommends focal lengths above 35 mm and apertures of f/1.4–f/2.8; the effect intensity changes with focal length. It is best to hide the transition between the halves along a line in the frame.
