Cineovision Anamorphic 24 mm T1.6 is a vintage anamorphic prime lens with a front anamorphic element and 2× horizontal image compression. The spherical base is Zeiss optics and the lens is fitted with a PL mount. This is the square front version.
The rendering, with characteristic oval bokeh and horizontal flares, matches the classic anamorphic look of the 70s and 80s. At 2× squeeze the lens is most often combined with a 4:3 sensor or open gate mode; before shooting, we recommend a focus and vignetting test on the specific sensor. The square front element makes it easier to use with a compendium and stops.
