Atlas Orion is a modern series of front-mounted 2x anamorphic lenses with a classic anamorphic signature. Blue horizontal flares, oval bokeh and gentle barrel distortion give the image a vintage character, while the mechanics are fully modern.
The lenses are designed for 4:3 Super 35 sensors (ALEXA 4:3 ANA, RED 6:5 ANA) and have a PL mount. Uniform 114 mm front diameter, 270° focus rotation and 0.8 MOD gear on both focus and iris make the focus puller’s work on set easier.
