CineTape Sensor Assembly is the ultrasonic sensor head of the Cinematography Electronics CineTape system, which continuously measures distance to the subject. It weighs 170 g, is made of Delrin and aluminum, and rotates 360° in pan and 180° in tilt.
The sensor mounts to the camera via a 1/4-20 thread, 3/8-16 pin or 15 and 19 mm rods, and connects to the control unit with a Fischer 5-pin cable. Based on the measured value, it pulls focus; watch for obstructions between the sensor and the subject.
