NiSi Black Mist 77 mm is a screw-in diffusion filter made of optical glass in a brass frame. Available in strengths 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 – each step roughly doubles the effect.
The lighter 1/8 strength is suitable for subtle softening of the digital image; 1/2 strongly brightens highlights and lifts shadows. The effect is most pronounced in backlight and with practical lights in frame.
