ALEXA Mini brought the ALEXA image into a body weighing about 2.3 kg, and remains one of the most widely used cameras for commercials, music videos and narrative projects. The ALEV III sensor delivers fine filmic detail, natural skin tones and 14+ stops of dynamic range, so its footage blends well with ALEXA 35, Mini LF and AMIRA.
Its compact format makes it the first choice wherever a large camera is impractical – on Ronin 2 or Movi gimbals, on drones, car rigs, in tight interiors, or as a B-camera to a larger ALEXA. ARRIRAW and Apple ProRes recording provide a flexible workflow from quick commercials to demanding grading.

On set
The set includes an MVF-1 viewfinder, handle, 19 mm bridge plate, four CFast cards with reader, V-mount power with three batteries, and timecode and audio cables. The camera is ready for immediate use – you only need to add PL lenses and a wireless follow focus, which communicates with the ALEXA Mini directly via the built-in ARRI radio.
