The ARRI WCU-4 is a compact wireless handheld controller for up to three lens axes – focus, iris and zoom. It has a backlit display with lens and distance data, a focus wheel with adjustable resistance and weighs about 750 g.
It communicates directly with ALEXA Mini and SXT cameras; with other cameras via UMC-4 or cforce mini RF. It is powered by a Sony NP-FM500H battery or a cable from the camera. The manufacturer no longer produces the unit, but it remains a common standard in rental houses.
