LOMO Round Front are Soviet front 2x anamorphic lenses from the 1970s and 80s. They offer clearly blue streak flares, elliptical bokeh and barrel distortion; the center is sharp even at full aperture, while the edges are softer. The anamorphic elements do not move during focusing, so no squeeze breathing (“mumps”) occurs.
The lenses have a PL mount and gear rings for focus, coverage is Super 35. Some versions have a rotating front, so we recommend a matte box on rods.
