NiSi Nano graduated IRND filter series with hard-edge transition for 4 × 5.65″ matte boxes, available for rental in 0.3 / 0.6 / 0.9 strengths. Filters are made of H-K9L optical glass, 4 mm thick, with an IR layer and double-sided nano coating.
The sharp transition is designed for straight horizons, such as sea or flat ground, where the sky is much brighter than the foreground. The IR layer prevents a magenta cast in blacks on digital sensors.
